Thomas Kelliher is Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his doctorate, with a specialization in computer architecture, in 1993 at The Pennsylvania State University. Prior to his arrival at Goucher in 1997, he taught at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. At Goucher College, he teaches a broad range of courses in computer science, from an introduction to computational thinking for non-majors, to software development and computer architecture at the intermediate level for majors, to advanced courses in operating systems, database systems, and computer graphics for majors. Kelliher’s research is on embedded computing systems, Internet of Things devices, and computing security. He is particularly interested in the security of Internet of Things devices.
